Leadership
Stephanie brings over 30 years of experience providing numerous levels of care to people supported with various disabilities. Stephanie began working for Greene Valley Developmental Center, Greeneville Tennessee, in 1990 as a direct care staff member. She went on to run several provider homes until she became an Independent Support Coordinator in 2002. In 2006 she moved to Florida and opened AKM Care Services, Inc. In 2016 Stephanie relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee to help her son, Kaleb Powell, run AKM of Tennessee, Inc.
Kaleb is a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. He previously worked at ResCare / HomeCare as well as Free Will Baptist Family Ministries in Greeneville,Tennessee. He is an administrator with a strong conviction for the work AKM Tennessee does and looks forward to the company growing under Stephanie and his leadership. He has an extensive history volunteering for organizations he believes in.
